Electronic Logging and Hours of Service for Drivers - Online

Electronic Logging and Hours of Service for Drivers

The U.S. Department of Transportation creates and enforces work-hour limitations for semi- and box-truck drivers. To ensure that drivers are following these requirements, the DOT requires them to log those hours. In the past, drivers used paper logs to record how many hours they had been driving. While there are some exemptions, most drivers must now use electronic logging systems.
